PUPA is a 20-week program your organization runs — using your own trusted adults, for your own young people. We provide the curriculum, the platform, the training, and the oversight. You provide the community that already exists.
PUPA doesn't arrive as an outside organization and take over. You retain full ownership of how the program runs within your walls. Your adults. Your schedule. Your community's rhythm. We bring the structure that makes it work — and the platform that makes it visible.
Why the Name
In biology, a pupa is the chrysalis stage — when the transformation from larva to butterfly happens entirely on the inside, invisible to the world. Every adolescent is in a pupa stage. What happens in that window is everything.
PUPA exists because that stage deserves more than chance. The adults in your community are the ones who can create the right conditions. We give them the structure to do it.
This means the young people in your program aren't handed off to strangers. They're guided by the adults who already know them — using a curriculum built for exactly this kind of environment.
PUPA monitors from a distance. We track progress, review performance, and step in when your facilitators need support. You lead. We watch your back.
Every PUPA partnership includes the full stack — curriculum, training, platform, and ongoing support. Nothing is sold separately. Nothing is hidden behind an upgrade.
Start the ConversationPUPA isn't defined by ethnicity, religion, income level, or zip code. It's defined by any organization that genuinely cares about the full development of the young people in their care — and is ready to commit a season to it.
A parent who believes in this can be the catalyst. You don't have to be the org director yourself to get this started — sharing this page with someone who is might be enough.
Every afternoon, schools have three things sitting in the same building: responsible adults, young people waiting to be picked up, and physical space. What's missing is structure, coordination, and programming that means something.
The PUPA Afterschool DLC turns that holding period into a genuine character development season. No outside hires. No budget drama. The adults already in the building run it — trained and supported by PUPA.
Express School InterestThis is the question every organization asks first: who are these mentors, and how do we know we can trust them?
PUPA doesn't have an answer to that question — because PUPA doesn't place mentors. Your organization does. The adults who facilitate PUPA sessions are people your community already knows and trusts. A coach. A teacher. A youth director. A longtime volunteer.
We train them. We give them everything they need to run excellent sessions. We support them throughout the season. But the trust was already there before PUPA arrived — and that's exactly how it should be.
You're not vetting strangers. You're deciding which of your trusted people you want to invest in as facilitators. That's a very different conversation — and a much better one.
Your facilitators go through PUPA training before the season begins. They receive session guides, discussion frameworks, and mentor notes for every week. The platform tracks how sessions are going. And PUPA is available when they need support.
They bring the trust. We bring the structure. Your young people get both.
This is not a long application process. It's a conversation. Tell us about your community, your young people, and what you're hoping to build — and we'll take it from there together.
Whether you're a principal exploring afterschool options, a youth director with 20 young people and two trusted adults, a faith leader wanting a season that means something — this is the right first step.
No sales pitch. Just a real conversation about your community.
Thank you for reaching out. We'll be in touch within 2 business days to schedule a conversation about your community and what PUPA can offer.
